Macquarie University E5A Refurbishment
Completed: 2019
Value: $10 Million
The entire Lower Floor level of E5A required re-planning and upgrading to provide 4 additional wet laboratories, a specialised instrument laboratory and consolidated facilities for Earth Sciences research and some tuition facilities in what was a poorly utilised and inadequately serviced space. An associated new extension to the Lower Floor was also required to house rock crushing and polishing facilities based on new high pressure units imported from Germany and to consolidate scattered units throughout the areas re-used for the wet laboratories. Compactus based rock storage facilities were relocated to other more suitable areas on the campus by BNMH as an early works facilitation prior to the commencement of the construction of the main project.
